Based on our Smash Brother's thread, the idea of voice chatting was brought up.
I have a server based off my computer at home, but anyone can run a server off their computers.

i'd like to hear your thoughts about this.

I guess it's similar along the lines of VoIP conversations or Skype but with  more participants.

Let's see what we can do to play around with this internet feature.

We can have up to 8 people chatting at the same time.

You can set the client to use a push to talk function, or you can have it to broadcast on detect.
I think it may depend on your computer headset. Basically that function will broadcast any kind of sound detected by your mic based on the sensitivity level that you set.

So that would be the most ideal function to use if we were to be playing Brawl.
When gaming on the computer, it's easier to use the push to talk function. It's ideal for houses like mine.. cause we have birds and siblings running around like retards all day.


I'll set up a project over the weekend and I'll have about 3-4 of you sign up as volunteers to try this out. I'll have ventrilo running off my computer all weekend and you guys can settle on a time to all log in and have a quick chat. I'll try to be there, pending on the time zone and how busy I am this weekend.

I'll need you guys to let me know if you're interested so I can set up a few things for you.
I'll be PMing you the server info, since I don't want it available for everyone on the World Wide Web.
Let me know how you all feel about this. I think it could be fun.

Or it'll fail miserably like the irc channel that I had set up. Haw Haw. But you'll never know until you've tried it. It's just that we're all older now and we don't have that much spare time to chillax on the net like we used to. Growing up is hard to do.
